ATC 2012 Graduation

ATTENTION - Prospective Graduates:

Graduation letters are being mailed out.  At the next graduation meeting on April 24th letters will be distribute if not received in the mail.

Mark your calendar for one of the two graduation meetings:
Tuesday, April 24th at 12pm in room 411
Monday, June 4th at 12pm in room 411

Graduation Fee andInformation collected at the meeting:
The $25.00     ATC Graduation fee covers diploma and commencement exercises.  CASH, CHECK, MONEY ORDER, VISA or MASTERCARD are acceptable methods of  payment.  Money orders and checks should be made payable to ATC Lafayette Campus and must include your full name and program area. THIS FEE IS NON-REFUNDABLE. DUE May 1st.
A fee of $47.00 must be paid to Jostens - The Grad Shoppe to cover the cost of your cap, gown, and diploma cover.  All payments are cash and carry and are only collected during the graduation meetings scheduled above. Orders by mail or otherwise will not be accepted. If a student is receiving an Associate Degree, he/she must purchase the Associate Degree Stole at a cost of $25.  Additional items can be purchased during the meeting.
Student Follow-up Survey.  Will be mailed or given at the meeting. The results of surveys are compiled and presented to pertinent college personnel and faculty for     the purpose of evaluating and improving program effectiveness.  DUE   May 1st.

Attendance atcommencement is REQUIRED.  Permissionnot to participate in commencement will be granted to those students who haveapproved documentation:  letter fromemployer stating that their work schedule conflicts with the date ofgraduation, a doctor's statement or documentation of a change of residence toanother state.  The deadline for gaining written approval "Not to March" is May 1st.  It is very important that your full name,address and program appear on this correspondence address to Dr. Huggins.  NOTE:The $25 graduation fee will also be assessed to students graduating inabsentia.

A special part of thegraduation ceremony is Student Testimonials. Students are asked to tell how Acadiana Technical College LafayetteCampus has significantly impacted their lives. To be considered for this honor, please contact your advisor/instructorfor information.

Students with a GPA of3.0 or higher and interested in becoming a member of the National TechnicalHonor Society should see Dr. Kinchen in Room 402 for information and deadlinefor submitting applications.  Members ofthis organization are honored at graduation with a special tassel on their capand a seal on their diploma.

Commencement is scheduled for Monday, July 2, 2012, at 7:00 p.m.at the Heymann Performing Arts &Convention Center.  Graduates are askedto report backstage by 6:15 p.m.
